First of all, thank you to Part Time Audiophile for early show coverage!

We had the 845 DS amps in 8002 (wired internally with Skogrand cabling) on Friday with Endeavor Audio E-5's, Triangle Art TT, all Skogrand Beethoven cabling and the rest of our electronics. It sounded great! We were then tempted to try 150SE amps with the E-5's and the 845's with Daedalus speakers on Sat. We found that this was even better, for both rooms. The E-5's REALLY took off with the muscle of 150SE mono blocks at 450W per channel into 8 ohms.
Down in the Iris room, the 845 DS was QUITE at home with the Daedalus Poseidon loudspeakers. It ended up being a win-win.
Everyone agreed that this was the best sound that Lou (Daedalus) and I (ModWright) had ever had at RMAF and the 845 DS was a huge success! There is much more on Facebook and I will add more as the press publish their coverage.
Thanks,
Dan

I can personally attest to this. I heard both rooms on Friday and Saturday. Dan is right about the endeavor speakers really appreciating the additional muscle of the KWA-150. The Iris room with the Ambrose 10W tube amp created really enjoyable sound with the Daedalus Poseidons, but the room became outstanding with the 845s. Terrific sound. The 845s are a great match for Lou's speakers.

Dan, Pez and Tyson said your room killed it.

Dick Olsher - The Absolute Sound!
"Most Significant"
"The world début of the ModWright 845 DS SET 845-based monoblock amplifier was nothing short of breathtaking." - Dick Olsher, The Absolute Sound

Herb Reichert - Stereophile!
"What attracted me to Dan's designs at CAF was their luminous invisibility. I liked how they generated weighty musical presences but stayed out of the ebb and flow. I especially liked their unprocessed, un-mechanical way with musical program." - Herb Reichert, Stereophile
