Title: Video Game Accessory - Please Participate in Survey!
Post by: viggen on 14 Mar 2010, 07:52 am
(I apologize ahead of time if this isn't an appropriate venue for my request.)

I am in need of some results for the survey linked below.

http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/gamerdesk (http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/gamerdesk)

It is for my university group project and results will only be used for educational purpose.

My group project is to conduct strategic analysis for a local company.  And, we need to conduct a market survey to supplement our findings.

Thanks in advance.  Greatly appreciate your response!

Ed

I belong to a PS3 gaming forum. Would you like me to have those guys take the survey? The survey seems PC gaming based, but they might "bite".

Anything else you need let me know...off to take the survey. Should I forward this to my gaming friends, kids etc?

Yes, please do help me disseminate this survey!

Bob, that will be great help since I wanted to post this survey in gaming forums.  But, I am not already a member in a gaming forum and didn't want to join one for the purpose of soliciting responses... and appear like a troll.

Thanks for your help, Bob!  I very very very very much appreciate it.

I just joined Married and Always Nagged, and it is very a appropriately named site!

The "Applebee" is a nice touch... heh.

Wow, I didn't realize there's another process.  I am attempting to find my"real" PSNID as I haven't used my PS3 for games or web in quite a long time.  PS3's forcing me to download some new firmware at the moment.

Will get to the application shortly.  I had made up a PSNID during internet registration process since I really can't remember what it is...

Currently, I registered as Viggen as of this morning.

Ok, my PS3 username is  "etzed4".  I guess I need to change MAAN username to that first?  I don't see that option in user control panel tho...

The firmware will take a while if you haven't been on in a long time.

The sign up process has to be done "this way" just to help keep things neat and organized. At first it's kinda weird, but after you've joined up it's kinda neat to read the applications of the new guys. Then you'll understand why things are the way they are.
Basically it's just a template you copy and past into your own thread and fill in the blanks. It's not bad.

Also remember regarding your PSNID, the name you choose will impact not only what you're called on the forum, but also the name you're called in game. "Viggen" would be a cool name though.
Makes it kinda rough when a guys forum moniker is "this", yet the name he chose on the PSN is "that", yet wants to be called something else in game.

Viggen would be cool.

Bob

p.s. Sorry to O.T. your thread.

This, from another forum:

"How is the survey going? BTW is the product real or just a made up product for the purpose of the survey. Had my techie cousin over and I showed him the survey and he said he would want one. "

I'm curious as well Ed.  :D

Bob:

Which forum is that?

The Ultimage Gamers Desk is still in concept stage.  It is based on a current product, a non-ultimate gamer desk, sold by the company my team is currently analyzing.  Here's the company's site:

http://www.laptopdesk.net/

I don't game on a laptop, but I'd imagine those who do could benefit from this product.  My wife's Macbook Pro gets too hot to put on the lap just from webbrowsing.  My Thinkpad doesn't get hot unless I play something like Call of Duty on it.  I mainly use my laptop for school work and some flash games tho.  So, I can only assume how hot most gaming laptops can get.
