This DAC has matching casework to the transport I have for sale. Inside is a Chameleon 16 chip DAC. It has been heavily modified by me with the following changes.
1. The power supply starts out as the DC-30 made by Teradak. This feeds a 16 farad (not uf) Supercap module. That feeds the 7.7 volt rail for the DAC chips. The 5 volt rail is fed from a separate shunt regulator. The Tentlabs clock on the upsampling board is fed via it's own power supply which is completely separate from the rest of the unit.
2. The decoupling caps on each chip have been upgraded as well.
3. The output caps are 4.7uf Dueland copper VSF.
The casework is 3/4" MDF veneered with Tamo (Japanese) Ash. The front piece is Padauk.
