Title: Strain relief connectors for NOH
Post by: mlvp on 21 May 2004, 11:08 am
Hi John,

The pictures on your website show a NOH with hardwired interconnects
and strain relief connectors at the back of the chassis. Judging from the
picture, probably two-piece machined aluminium cilinders with blue plastic
inserts.

Could you give a short description how do they work? Could they be used
with braided cables as well?

Hello!

They are industrial type strain reliefs. A bit of overkill for sure but they work well. They have an outer nut end cap that threads onto the main body. As you tighten the nut it pinches down on the wire by compressing a rubber insert. I would think they'd be fine with most cables - although if you are using a really delicate cable you'd wan't to not tighten the nut too much. I use a few different sizes depending on the diameter of the cable.

Many Thanks!
