I didn't try that, I was attempting to use a credit card. I assumed there were legal copyright type issues.

Are there any sites that offer free demo tracks?  I want to download a couple to find out if they do sound better on my system.  I also want to use the demos as a learning process.  I want to make sure I can get them onto my music server and play them back.

Bravura only offered Christmas songs at 24/44.1.  I could not find their library under the "music" tab.  All they had was the Christmas songs. Do they have any product to sell?

I downloaded two free tracks from HD Tracks in March of 2009 so now they won't let me download the free sampler.  The tracks I downloaded went to my computer which is not connected to my audio system. Of course they sounded like music on a computer. Now I have the ability to download directly to my music server and need some free tracks to practice with.

You can also download compressed, loss-less cd-quality and hi-rez files from Nine Inch Nails' album ' the slip' at the cost of an email address.

Great way to compare the various formats on both the audio and usability fronts. 

Check out track 8 and 9, 'corona radiata' is slow to start but has real interesting sound stage and 'the four of us are dying' is pretty killer at testing your gear with both dynamics and the full frequency range.

You're correct, of course. Ever since I heard them at Zinc with you I've been wanting them badly. The calmness and detail, compared to CD quality, is uncanny. Hi-res from Apple and the major studios can't come soon enough.
But crikey those file sizes are huge! Six times that of CD.
