I had posted earlier in this thread but wanted to re-post as my system has changed since then.  I am running my NCore monos fully balanced with the following:

Bent Audio TAP Passive Pre (on loan from Ted_B)
Exasound E20 MKIII DAC
Selah Audio DIY'd TRT Speakers

I am also building a LRD3x passive pre from Morten at Tortuga audio which should be done in about a month.

I am located in NE Ohio.

Regards,

Randy

I have a pair of NC1200 mono blocks> I am located in NJ near Giants Stadium and NYC. Zip 07110.

My other equipment is: B&W 802D, speakers> exaSound e20 MK III with .082 Clock, DAC by USB> Late 2012 MacMini Quad-Core 16GB Ram with SSD for OS and XHD by Thunderbolt for music> Power Cables by Triode Wire Labs> Interconnects and Speaker Cables by High Fidelity Cables. Vibration Control is by Stillpoints Ultra Mini and SS plus a Tranquility Base by Synergistic Research for the DAC, MM and XHD.

Anyone interested just PM me. Also I would be willing to bring the Amps to you so you could hear them in your setup.

If you own NCore amps and are willing to have people come over or bring them over to their place, post here.

Charlotte, NC and my amps have 4 wheels.   :D

Hello jtwrace,
this is indeed very nice of you to start this thread.
I'm in nearby GSO. I was wondering if these amps can drive a 1-Ohm Apogee Scintilla? In the <200Hz region the impedance of these speakers is something like 0.8-0.9 Ohms (nearly a dead-short!). The impedance in this region is almost purely resistive (unlike cone driver speakers which are quite heavily capacitative thereby giving the amp a real headache). So, the Scintillas are a hard load but a 'benign' load, if I may say so.
I'm looking for a pair of class-D amps to biamp - drive the bass panel.
thanks for your (& other A-C members') insights.....

I"m sure the NCore's can do that viscous load as long as you're not listening at very high SPL's.

Bombaywalla.  The answer as far as the NC1200 goes is an ABSOLUTE YES. As I am not sure I can name names I have sent you a PM with an owner of Apogees impressions with a pair of OEM NC1200 amps.

Thanks to those that have opened their doors to other possible owners.  Some have even gone above and beyond and brought their amps to the interested persons house.  That's what it's all about!   :thumb:

Lets keep adding to the list.
