Rick - what will you be bringing to LSAF this year? I can't remember seeing you there (at least in the past 6 years or so). Will this be your first visit?

Wow - I guess it's been a few years now since we met at the local audiophile gathering! I'll be bringing two sets of speakers, possibly a third. I probably won't be announcing exactly which models until a few days before the show.

I'll be setting up on Thursday and tearing down on Sunday (possibly in the morning unless I get a late checkout). All demo speakers will be available at a show discount.

Yes I was hoping you would be there - what day do you plan to attend? I will be closing up early on Sunday.

Rick, thanks for the hospitality at the Lone Star show.  I'd never had a chance to hear any of your speakers before the show and the self powered monitor was excellent.  One of the best balanced speakers at the show and a great introduction to your company.  Very nice.

I hope you enjoyed the show and are considering coming back again.

i also liked the sound of your room, but am scared to death of speakers with built in amps.  what if years down the road you start to have problems with the amps?
do you have the option of using the internal amp or bypassing it and using the speaker as a passive?  you may remember me, the guy on crutches.

It's really just a matter of repair service or keeping extra amplifiers on hand for customers. A passive crossover version is also an option as well as outboard DSP and amplifiers.

Visiting a show on crutches - you're a brave soul!
