I"m getting annoyed. Where are all the reviews from all those guys who signed up for an audition?
How many have auditioned them so far, and how many have signed up?

So far Jerry the feedback I have gotten has paralleled your own. Several pairs have also been sold thus far because of the auditions.
More formal reviews will be posted in due time (soon).
Also two more pairs of enclosures have just been completed by Rutledge Audio and will be on the way soon. So maybe I can get those demo's going a little quicker.
Currently there is 14 people in line.

Danny, I thought part of the commitment by the auditioners was that they would post a review when the were done. Are they not living up to their promises? :nono:

The Criterion's are making a detour back to GR Research for me to check them out.
The last recipient seams to think that there may be some shipping damage to the internal wiring. I should have them back today or tomorrow and will get them right back out.
The woofer is not an off the shelf model.
I had them make some changes that would eliminate the upper end break-up (smoother roll off into the highs) and extend the bottom end.
The specs on these woofers are as follows:
Fs - 53Hz
Qes - .48
Qms - 2.64
Qts - .40
Vas - 8.54 liters
Mms - 9.06 grams
Cms - .956 mm/N
Rms - 1.190 kg/sec
Sd - 79.3 sq. cm
Re - 6.2 ohms
Le - .3 mH
Z - 8 ohms
Bl - 6.3
Sens. - 87.3db (2.83)

Okay I received them back today.
Both will be fine tomorrow.
One had a small inductor that had come loose and was rattling a bit. The wiring was holding it in place.
The other had the same inductor come loose and tear the leads off allowing it to bounce around in the box a little.
For one, I originally did not build these to be shipped all over the place. The inductors had enough liquid nails on them to hold them in place here at GR Research.
More liquid nails was needed for this demo pair.
Cold weather and a bumpy ride may have been contributors as well.
Anyway.... it's all better now and I will put the drivers back in tomorrow after the glue has well dried and get them back out there.
A finished pair of Maple enclosures are on the way and will be here by the end of the week so it looks like a will have a second pair in circulation soon.

I had Brian finish out a pair for me in Maple.
Nothing fancy, no curly, or birds eye, just plain Maple.
I will oil rub them and clear them with several coats of clear after they get here.
So no pictures yet.

I noticed a number of requests for reviews of the criterions and just wanted to point out that I submitted a review to GR's forum a few weeks ago at Harmonicdiscord...not sure if anyone is using that forum any more.

Hey Fly Fish thanks for the mention here of the review there.
Your buddy Graham also ordered a pair with assembled networks. I finished the networks up this weekend and they shipped out to him today.
I also now have two pairs of enclosures in maple that just arrived from Rutledge Audio. They look really good, and I can't wait to get them assembled and out there to cover some of the overwhelming request for demos.
