I'm burning in a pair of Audio-Technica W1000's that I bought to use with a EE Minimax CD player (after reading the 6 Moons glow about it). I think this will be a really great combo when run-in is finished. I'm having a strange ear reaction to these cans though, and I wonder if anyone else has had same.
Listening at any volume, when pressing stop or skipping tracks (stopping the drivers) I find that my eardrums shudder to a stop along with the 'phones. It can be a very disorienting and unpleasant sensation. Anyone else have this experience with closed cans or otherwise?
I've taken to lifting the pads from my head while stopping or skipping. Its a strange little ritual that is a bit irritating.
