I believe you’re referring to Englad Dan and John Ford Coley’s song, I really want to be with you tonite. The actual lyric is, “ I’m  talkin about movin in.” I looked it up a few years ago because I too thought is was was about the linen. :D

I did often wonder about it but just accepted it until one day I realized I was mishearing it!  :duh:

Here's one I heard wrong for a long time. Of couse, there was no web to check out lyrics, and it was radio so not the highest of fidelity.
