Neil Young "Le Noise". Apply named. Ridiculous reverb, gain and looping. Seems like he wrote "Love and War" and then needed some filler songs.

The reverb, gain and looping are exactly what I like about this album.

I didn't watch the linked video, but I can say firsthand that that album has a lot of great sounding material on it. I've included some of the cuts on my "Craig's Ear Candy" Qobuz playlists.

Thanks for this rec!  I listened to it for the first time last night and I'd put it up there with After the Gold Rush as my favorite Neil Young album.

After The Gold Rush has been my favorite NY album since it came out in 70. If Le Noise had that much of an effect on anyone after one listen, I've got to buy it. As for slam though, it was produced by Daniel Lanois who seems to love compressed sound. We'll see.
