First post. Earning my stripes so I can "search"

I'm reentering audiophile after marrying my Vandersteen 2C's/Aragon4004/etc in mid-90's. Reeducating myself and preparing to remarry this year, assuming this system will take me to the grave. While I enjoy the hunt, its simply too all-consuming to sustain as a hobby.
Topics of interest are "two-box solutions" with a single Dac/streamer and Amp (or some other variant), high efficiency speakers + tube amps, open baffle and horn speakers. I also love value and am a bit irreverent having derived sooo much pleasure for so many years from what were termed "budget" components.
