Getting the Magnepan LRS speakers and Orchard Audio Starkrimson Monoblocks ready for CAF2024. 

Will demo the LRS with the stock crossover and add EQ to flatten the on-axis frequency response in the room. 

For a system like this a DSP with 2/4 I/O capability would allow adding a sub with crossover and time delay for system integration.  Will demo the idea with the standard dspNexus 2/8 and AKM AK4493S DAC's with the LRS and no subs with a high pass filter to filter out below band signals to the woofer panels. 

The on-axis frequency response EQ will be switchable to show before and after results for listening.

Did you go with the LRS over the 1.7i just because they're easier to lug around?

The people that own the 1.7i's decided not to ship them for the CAF show. 

My used 1.7's I found have not been repaired since they would cost more to repair than new speakers with shipping.

I bought the used LRS so I could demo with something smaller instead.  Much easier to move around, you can EQ the existing speaker and crossover and you can use a modular sub as a stand to add response with a DSP crossover.  That is an experiment I am trying, but not for the CAF show.

The Magnepan LRS and Magna Risers black AERO stands are packed and ready to go to CAF2024.

The LRS speakers will stand on top of the 1x12 open baffle subs for better height for listening.

The original Magnepan LRS with Magna Risers AERO stands on modular 1x12 OB subs. 

Using a dspNexus 2/8 standard system with AKM AK4493S DAC's to feed the stock passive crossover with with switchable speaker and room correction functions for the demo.

The new Orchard Audio Starkrimson Monoblock Premier amps are driving the LRS and the original Starkrimson Monoblocks are driving the OB subs.
