The nice thing about being adults, is that we aren't boxed in and constrained with words like "favorite".
Our minds are open enough that we can just enjoy the music and not be troubled with "which is better, SRV or Clapton", or "what's your favorite color", or "Who's your favorite drummer"?
No. They're all great, that's why I listen to them.
Just like the two Santana songs you linked, they're fantastic. There's no room in my life for spending the time to "figure out" which one is my "favorite".

Rock on Brother.
Just listen.

(This makes me want to have an emoticon that's a face, with eyes closed and headphones on)

indeed, that's what makes the musical universe so great. And yet we always find out something amazing that makes us wonder "how the heck I have never heard of this beautiful masterwork or this artist before?"

Despite where it's from (Africa, Europe, North or South America, Turkey, India, Middle East and so on), as soon as they represent the local culture and the music is good, I'm on it.  :thumb:

No, Walter has others more unusual yet.
This was his first LP in 1973.

With all due respect to Van Morrison, I submit to you, the song "Tupelo Honey", covered by an artist that I admire a great deal.

Prince on keys/guitar at age 19, with Andre Cymone on bass and Bobby Z (so they say) on drums, playing  impressive fusion jazz funk tracks at Loring Park rehearsal room in 1977 in Minneapolis.
