Sometimes I miss the days of oil changes without jacks. I was initially of thinking of how easy it was to slide under the front end to get to the drain plug and oil filter. But then I saw the oil slick on the driveway and remembered how you really never needed to change it because we were pouring in a fresh quart every thousand miles or so. I think I’ll stick to the jacks…
Ah yes, the oil slicks
When I came across that photo it reminded me of my high school days (1970s) and the student parking lot. The "in-thing" back then was jacking up the rear end and stuffing a set of 50 series tires on aluminum, slotted rims into the wheel wells. In many cases, the tires and rims were worth more than the car
Good friends, great cars and awesome music - it was a great time to be alive- eh?
Be well...
