We had fun. Come to the next one if you can.

Playing with the Polks some more this morning, I tried a 2ohm resistor in place of positive jumper, sounds just about right to me.  But they really liked that NCore amp on the bass - I miss it already! Anyone who would like to hear the Polks is welcome to stop by.

I know there's some interest in comparing the Cherry and Ncore amps. A good place to start would be here http://www.audiograph.se/standalone.html
This unit will tell you quite a bit how the amps will perform into a real world load. Subjective comparisons are sketchy without control of all the variables and keeping listening levels the same.

Yes, objective data can be seen here http://www.hypex.nl/docs/NC400_datasheet.pdf and AC's very own mgalusha did an FFT plot on his $10k tester here http://www.audiocircle.com/index.php?topic=107040.msg1097394#msg1097394

Thanks for the information. The Power Cube takes things a little further though so you can see how the amp deals with a reactive load. Actually the Ncore might do quite well since it performs well in the standard tests.  What commercial designs are using it in amps on the market?

Rick, the NCore 400W model is intended for DIY use only. They also make a 1200W NCore unit for OEMs.
