Hello audio fans!
I am new around here, but been buying audio gear for years (decades, tbh). Only recently have had enough $$ to invest a bit more in my systems, and buy & sell gear to learn more about what brands and architectures I like.
Current most-used system is my office one, and consists of:
- Power amps: Bel Canto Ref500 monoblocks x 2
- Pre: Bel Canto Pre3
- DAC: Denafrips Iris + Denafrips Ares II
- Streamer: home-built PiCore player as my digital frontend for both local CD rips & Qobuz streaming
- Speakers: Klipsch RP-600M II
You would not think Class D + Klipsch horns would be a good combo, but they really are, at least if the Class D is well-executed. Class D is not what it used to be, it can sound almost tube-y in the right hands.
Other favorite brands:
- Zu Audio (have a pair of Omens)
- Goldenear (I love my Triton 7)
- Anthem for home theater (very musical surround sounds amps)
- Luxman (I traded in a bunch of equipment for one Luxman L-507u integrated amp, and it is amazing)
