I just bought my first vinyl. The album is An Awesome Wave by Alt-J, it has been a favourite of mine for a long time and I am excited to own a physical copy. It is the earliest album I can remember listening to and appreciating the music beyond surface level listening, I would say it changed my understanding of music as an art form. After a long struggle finding myself a job, and finally being able to spend money on recreation rather than purely survival, buying this was a pretty therapeutic and really rewarding moment.
I would like to know what your first vinyl was? Was it an album/single you had previously heard before? Did you buy it fresh from a store or find it second hand? What made you choose it above any other? Do you still have it? What sort of condition is it in?
