Resistance of TX 102 MK II.5 / Silver
« on: 15 Apr 2003, 09:13 pm »
John,

I'm sorry if this has been asked before, but what are the resistances of the TX102 in the MKII.5 and silver versions?  Just curious to know if they've changed at all as the published specs at theS&B page seem to be of an older version.   I'd guess the silver to be a littlel lower, but not by too much.

Regards,

Rup

Hello!

The silver is a little lower than copper as you guessed. The primary resistance of the silver is about 268 ohms and the OCC copper is about 287 ohms.  These measurements are with the primaries connected in series for unity gain - the way most folks run the TX102.  The text of the doc's on S&B's page is likely for the MKI still. The freq response graphs, etc are for the MK II.

Thanks!
