Man we had a great time.  The skies cleared up for the ceremony and stayed clear the rest of the night.  We were worried driving up as it was really raining when we left our house about 1.5 hours south.

It was a simple, efficient, very straightforward, yet elegant ceremony.  No rice was thrown.  The ceremony was very well done and it was intimate enough that there really was no way you could get a bad seat on the outdoor patio at the Oakhurst Country Club.  Hordeurves, open bar, all sorts of food selections from beef, chicken, salmon, to pasta.  Multiple deserts beyond the traditional wedding cake.  Just a real nice event all around.

The cake:

The vows:

Mike was a "little nervous".  I told him to burn these images in his brain so 20 years from now when she asks him "Do you remember _________?" he can have a fighting chance of recall and save face!

The newlyweds.  Mike done good!!

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr! :icon_twisted:

(Hey!  I was standing in line minding my own business and whodathunkit.  Gams.)

Father-daughter dance:

Here's a special couple on the left: Mrs. and Dr. Salk themselves.  I think the lady in pink just wandered in off the course and crashed the event.  I let it slide.

The groom having some spirits and a good stogie.  If you look back in the stickies you'll recognize Mike as the guy in the photos of the build process for the HT3's.  Not a bad perk, build speakers and marry the boss' daughter.  Mike's on to bigger and better things now.

Now here's an important guy; Sam builds and installs the xovers for the speakers.  Sam's wife (in the middle) thinks I have exceptional taste in music (and of course I do) and likes my compilation Cd's which I often give away at my GTG's.

Great pics, Pete.  And it looks like it was one of those picture-perfect events.   But I've got to complain about the DJ's choice of speakers....................

Congratulations, Jim.

I propose that each Salk Sound customer whose order was in process at the time of the ceremony gets a piece of cake with his Songtowers.

Thanks to all for the kind comments...much appreciated.  The last guests left last evening so we're back at the shop today picking up where we left off.  But a few comments...

I think the lady in pink just wandered in off the course and crashed the event.  I let it slide.

I noticed that too.  And to think she had the nerve to claim she was my wife Mary's mother.  Some people!

Great pics, Pete.  And it looks like it was one of those picture-perfect events.   But I've got to complain about the DJ's choice of speakers....................

Believe me, I noticed that as well.  But Mike picked the DJ and I am trying to be the perfect father-in-law.  So I just bit my lip and tried to enunciate real well when giving my toast so that everyone could understand what I was saying.

Congrats Jim and fam! Kinda surprised the cake didn't have a sunburst finish but it looked tasty anyway.

Yeah, some people just have no imagination!  But I'm a perfect father-in-law...

Congratulations Jim.  Your daughter was a beautiful bride!
Obviously I'm biased, but I thought so too.  I'll pass along the compliment.

I propose that each Salk Sound customer whose order was in process at the time of the ceremony gets a piece of cake with his Songtowers.

Great idea.  Unfortunately, the bride and groom ate the whole thing!

Once again, thanks for the kind comments.  But I had better get back to work.  I'll probably be building speakers until 2010 to pay for the ordeal.
