Do I need a shoe with surge protection to protect audio video electronics if I already have a Hubbell TVSS surge protection for the home?

would this degrade the sound?

I am thinking of buying an Isotek EVO3 Sirius.

Thanks,

I have much  more confidence in Hubbell products than in Isotek.

Well, I have installed a Hubbell HBL2DR65 (240 volts) to protect the house and my question in the post is to know if I require an additional one, in this case on an ISOTEK strip, to protect my audio equipment.

Thanks,

If you have sufficient whole house protection, there is no need for a second surge protector in series at the point of use for the audio system.

If you want to deal with the 80% of surges that happen within your home, yes you do.  Watch this.
