Saturday, August 4 gathering in south county

Like a blind squirrel, after ten years I finally stumbled across a tube preamp with a good SUT that makes my Denon turntable with moving coil cartridge sound superb. To celebrate, how about a listening session this coming Saturday, from 1 to 4:30 pm down at Chez Shek. We will be running both systems downstairs with spinning platters...the main room will have a Thorens TD125 with a Shure V15, so you can see which setup you like better, all tube and MC, or all solid state with MM.

Hmm this sounds fun. I've always been intrigued by your pics of your basement full of great vintage gear, but I have yet to make it to one of your events. I'll have to check our calendar at home though. Something tells me we have something else going on this Saturday afternoon. Maybe I can play "sick"

Ughhh I've been fighting with a clogged kitchen sink that is proving to be far more of a PITA than expected.
