Cornet power supply caps
« on: 19 Mar 2011, 11:22 pm »
just curious - if motor run caps are used for the power supply filtering, are the bypass caps (C1 and C3 on the Cornet, C220 and C226 in Cornet 2) really necessary?

Nobody ever measured the capacitor's performance in the frequency band, so it seems it's better to save the bypasses.
Actually it is arguable that the motor run caps (taking into account its sizes and long wires to PCB also) are better than decent electrolytics in the circuit.
