NEO10 Open baffle

Anyone have experience with the BG neo10 midrange?  Looks like it would make a great OB driver.  I have been searching for OB designs using it and a neo3 but can't find any.

Carnegie Acoustics. And several of the designs are pretty extreme. You guys are going to freak out on them.

Danny, are the CSB series based around your Neo product line?  The tower, center and monitor look like Neo3, Neo3s and N2x product line.

They look like kissing cousins, the cone material appears to be different.  Pretty cool!

Same Neo tweeter but that's about it. The woofers are made in a similar way but by a different company. The cabinets are different (slanted), crossovers are all different etc.

But as you would expect, the performance of those speakers is quite good.

Any time frame?

We are shooting for a huge premier at the Axpona show in Atlanta in a few months.

I'll be there setting up the room, hanging out, and maybe playing a few tracks in the Carnegie Acoustics room.

Will you have any of your (GR) speakers in the room or at the show?

Hi Danny,

Is there any possibility of marrying the Neo10 with your servo controlled bass drives like those used in the V1 and Super V?

I ask simply because of my experience with the Neo3 tweeter - a very sweet tweeter indeed.

If the Neo10 BG driver approaches the performance of the Neo 3, then this might be a very good match with the V1 and Super V bass system.

Your thoughts appreciated.

Danny,

Aren't you coming out with an 8" servo sub?  Might we see that in a NEO3, NEO10, woofer arrangement?

Don't know how Danny feels about the Neo10, but I spent the last year buying mids to measure and audition for my system linked above.  Neo10 won over about a dozen other choices.
