Midbass issue
« on: 6 Mar 2009, 04:49 pm »
Hello VSA owners.

I own VR4 GEN III HSE. I don´t get them were I want.

I feel that they lack the midbass were the rhythmical drive is, they don´t release the sound in drum ms.
I have very powerful mono-amps, so no lack of power.

Thinking of buying an other brand. I have own VR-2 Vr-4jr before.

I like the VR4 they do everything nice Bass soundstage etc etc, but I found them lacking that rhythmical drive.
I have tried Dacron in the Bass port

I have tried diffrent wall in my room, they measure pretty good in my room, so I don't think it´s a bass issue

Inputs what to do??

Regards

Fredrik

Hi Mr_dingo

I have, as you know, the same speaker and I don't have any problem. Running with bi-amp Quad and the sound is good at midrange. The speakers are not in the best location at the moment but sometimes I can really be supriced with the sound.

Have you tryout different location with your setup?

What amps do you use and how is it connected?

Thanks
