I spoke with Joe @ VSA a couple of days ago and he said they are looking to release the Anniversary model in February.

I talked to Albert at CES and it sounded as if the Anniversary editions were still some time off. The cabinets are the delay. They have all the other parts, so an upgrade can be done now. Just buy a used pair of original VR4-JRs and have them shipped to the factory for the Anniversary upgrade and save some dough.

I have a pair of VR4JR (original version), and a vacation coming up where I could live without my speakers for a couple of weeks.  Is there more information available on the details of the upgrade?  What gets changed?  How much better will they sound? and How much will it cost?

One bummer (probably deal-breaker) is the lead shot in mine. I really don't want to remove it and put it back in, and I can't see shipping it across country.

Does the Anniv have a shot spot?
