Your anniversary date...
« on: 23 Jul 2014, 05:35 pm »
Just organizing some paperwork today and stumbled across my audio gear file - it was most certainly an eye opener :o Next August, the 28th to be exact, will be 5 years that my Beasties have been on the rack - where has the time gone? To this day, my audio gear still puts a smile on my face and have never once regretted purchasing this equipment.

How long have you had your Bryston gear on the rack

The first one out - August 2009...

No Esoteric as of yet as it was purchased in September...

The pre came in July...

Be well...

  • To whom more was given more will be required.
    • Never go to a psychiatrist, adopt a straycat or dog. On the street they live only two years average.

In late 1988, I moved out of my parents place and purchased my first stereo system which included the Bryston 12B pre-amp and Bryston 4B amp.

Then, in 2004, I was "brain-washed" into trading-in my entire system and starting all over with an all-Linn system.

But in 2013, I came to my senses and went back to my first love (Bryston) and purchased the Bryston 4B-SST2 power amp (along with Bryston BCD-1, BDA-2 and BDP-2).

I sold all my Bryston gear a couple years ago to purchase photography gear. Came to my senses and started to purchase new Bryston components to build a new system several months ago  :duh:

Been a Brystonite for 30 years

Thanks for starting this thread, Laundrew. Like you, I've enjoyed my Bryston gear since I first integrated the components into our system. I began with the amps and last year was finally able to incorporate front-end pieces. When I hear how superb the system sounds, I'm thrilled all over again.

It took quite awhile to purchase all the gear I wished (and I missed out on the BCD-1) because our kids made withdrawals from the Bank of Mom & Dad, but we plan to add the proposed BOT-1 and BCD replacement. When we can hear the Model T speakers, that will be dangerous as well.
