Oh, and who scored the most points last season?? Yes, that's right - Connor McDavid!!  :rules:

Oh ..... and who hoisted the Stanley Cup this year ? yes, that's right ......'SC' , regardless Connor is a hell of young talent !

Too bad it wasn't the best player as determined by both the league and the players...

Sydney had a fantastic year!! Overcame two concussions, leading goal scorer, racked up 27points in the playoffs.
I'm sure Connor McDavid could give two shits about his league MVP's and would trade 2 cups and 2 Con Smythe awards any day !!!!!
Estimated 650,000 adoring fans came to this:

Sid is such a class act!!! Soooo talented and humble!!!
I simply can't fathom how one can watch him play the game, and not be amazed by his talent, his effort and tenacity, his vision, his will to win, making others around him soar to greatness.
Jake Guentzel was the leading goal scorer in the playoffs!! 21 year old! His line mate? Of course.

It's sad that millions of "hockey fans" boo greatness because he is not on their team.
He is a player for the ages, and will go down as one of the all time greats!!

He is one of the greats and he certainly can't be faulted for that or his talent, but some people feel the need to elevate him beyond that.

Blues win Stanley Cup

Didn’t find a better thread to add this....

Congratulations to the St. Louis Blues, winners of the Stanley Cup 2019 !!  Some of the most entertaining hockey I’ve ever seen on tv.

They were in last place (January) when we saw them beat the Flyers live in what was a very disappointing game for us.  That was the day the Blues goalie started his NHL career as well.

In the meantime, Tampa Bay was swept in the first round of the playoffs after the highest regular season point total in NHL history.

What a season (!), and the playoffs broke tv viewing records:

It was VERY cool  :banana piano:
We've been waiting 50+ years for the cup to come to town. The buzz is still going on. The latest estimate of the victory parade was 390,000 people  :o   The night of game 7 which was played in Boston, 20,000 fans packed into Busch Stadium (where the Baseball Cardinals play) and also took to capacity (18,000) the Area, just to watch the game with other fans on the big monitors in those venues. The streets were were like a ghost town during game 7.

Yep, this town went a little nuts  :thumb:   ....and still is

Congrats to the Blues !!!  Gutsy to get crushed in game 6 at home , then go in the road and crush Boston on the the road . Weird , how they were so great on the road  and poor record at home .
Nice to see them take their first cup !!!
