You are welcome to call.

Before you send, you need to find out about international delivery. Via the US post office, I know that France requests that you not send anything unnecessary. Maybe Fedex, UPS?

Just talked to Frank:  3 weeks to build, test, and ship a SET400.  How long it takes to get to you in  Belgium is another question that I don't have an answer to.  You can order on-line at avahifi.com.  Adding a note specifying 240 vac would not be a bad idea as 120 is what we normally build and sell.

You will not be disappointed with this amp, it has gotten some of the best reviews ever received by AVA.  Here is one I happen to have a link for:

Thx Dan,

I hope everyone is still safe in this Corona crisis.

Here in Belgium we are entering the end, factory’s reopen on the 4th of may.
Shops on the 11th, schools some years on the 18th.
I am gone wait if everything evaluate in the right direction, concerning airmail, airports stay closed
till June. I am set to order a set vision 400.
Just one question I use only 1 source.
Stream music from tidal.
I will use dac with streamer who have volume control can I plug that direct in the amplifier?

Dear Dan,

After reading you re engineer at Alvastine involved with set vision amplifier.
My speakers are harbeth 30.2.
I listen to all sorts of music.
Normal loudness.
No hard rock.
Mostly singer song writer and country.
Listening distance is 8 feet 10.
Will the 400 be overkill?

Eddy

You can plug the amp directly into the DAC, using the DAC volume control, and not use a preamp.  That's the way my shop is set up:  PC with volume control, DAC, power amp, speakers.  I have not used a preamp for many years.

Your speakers, 6 ohms nominal and 85 db 1w/1m, are pretty close to an ideal speaker for the SET400.   Lower efficiency and 4-6 ohms is what the SET400 was designed for.  You might be able to get by with a SET120, especially with your listening preferences,  but you would have virtually no overhead and you would always be wondering if maybe you were just a little bit under powered.  Go with the SET400, it should be a good match.
