Picking up on Laundrew's idea for a 1st album how about images of our 1st hi-fi or stereo set ups. Below is the one I purchased in Viet Nam in 1969, a Kenwood receiver, Pioneer speakers and a Dual turntable. It was stolen in 1970 and the thieves did me a favor because I had renters insurance and replaced it with the second system shown.
Replacement stereo is below and I still have the int. amp, tuner and speakers boxed up in the basement. A Sansui 999 intergrated amp, Sansui 999 tuner, JBL Supershelves (L-100's) and a Sony turntable (model long forgotten) with a Stanton cartridge. The cartridge came in a neat aluminum box that I used to keep my herb collection in. I still have the box but no herbs.

When I was a kid, we started with a Telefunken Gavotte radio in the kitchen:
Then my dad bought a Fisher RS-1050 receiver along with a pair of JBL 4530 speakers:

My fisrt decent amp was the Sony TA 1130 @ a monsterous 50 watts rms. I also ran the matching tuner.
This was the turntable that went with them . It had a Shure v15 cartridge

Panasonic 7670 and matching speakers...even came with a crappy turntable with a 7" platter. When I dumped the speakers and added a pair of very efficient Fraziers, it was a big step up. Maybe it was a 5 watt system.

Some this stuff is so well made cosmetically. They are worth collecting for looks is not for sound IMO
