What DAC Are You Using W/Your HP System
« on: 7 Oct 2009, 02:46 pm »

I purchased a new set of cans (AKG240mk2) and a dedicated HP amp (Shandling PH100). I am now looking for a DAC and transport to finalize My dedicated HP system. I am looking for something small as they will be used in the bedroom and must set on the night stand. What are you using?.......

The Shandling CD player looks nice but does'nt it already have a headphone amp in it.
I would like to keep the price around $300.00. Thanks, David 8)

You may want to consider a Headamp http://www.head-fi.org/forums/f38/headamp-pico-upsampling-usb-dac-pre-order-now-intro-price-413230/.  I have one that I use in the office and the sound quality if up there with the Apogee Duet and some others that cost multiples of the Pico Dac cost.
