Just joined from the GE-Research site. I am about to upgrade my Yamaha NS-1000 Monitors that I have owned for 45 years.

I also have my amps from the same era. A pair of Denon POA-6600A monoblocks and a matching PRA preamp. I think that the preamp in particular sounds as good as my modern one (NAD M12) when playing vinyl

However my original turntable (also same period) a Technics SL-10, particularly the cartridge maybe isn’t up to modern standards
