"This driver is totally functional and removed from a "VMPS LARGER SUBWOOFER" system. It will easily tune below 20 Hz and perform with low distortion in a 3 to 5 cubic foot reflex box. Tuning/loading may be accomplished via slot, PVC pipe, any shape duct, or a passive radiator. Many designs are available on the web, or I'll be glad to assist. This is an 8 ohm driver with a 57mm voice coil and sensitivity of 95db/1W/1m. Power handling is about 300Wrms/1000Wpep. It has a phase plug in the center to aid in matching with "fast" high end speakers. In the correct enclosure, this sub will "take your breath away"!"

The speakers are very solid (21 lbs each, 9.5"D x 8.125"W x 16.25H) with speakers and grills on 2 sides (dipole - see photos). The grills are also in very good condition (see photos). Consecutive serial numbers.

The speakers have been tested and no problems were found.

Includes only the pair of speakers with grills as pictured.

Local pickup, or ships carefully packed. I try to ship the day after payment (or the day of) whenever possible, but sometimes it takes 4-5 business days to ship."

Many of these have been modified or refurbished with the help and advice of Rolf Glembotzski (sp?) who was the Production Supervisor at VMPS and a friend of Eric's. He recommended the Genesis replacement tweeters in the ST III's when the Focal T-120's surrounds gave out (FYI, the surrounds can be replaced now with kits, and Focal themselves can replace them)

"Selling my speakers. These were handed down to me and have no real place for them. They deserve better. Kept in a climate controlled home and hardly used. Perfect working condition, foam surrounds are fine, no dry rot or cracking. Just a little dusty and could use a little time to correct cosmetic imperfections. They are in very good condition given that they are 40 y/o. Grills are intact as well. Audiophile speakers, highly sought after. USA made in 1984. Plenty of info about designer and speakers online. Very heavy and large, they just fit in a Honda CRV for reference, pickup only".

Are you looking for a pair or single 626R? I have a very nice pair of Rosewoods with FS tweeters and Megawoofer that I purchased from John. They’ve been sitting unused for some time. Original boxes and one grill included (tabs broke off the other grill). I can send photos if you’re interested.

Nice condition, original satin black color. The top tweeter grills could be replaced. They worked great when last used, but I've moved and no room for them. These cost over $15k new!

Again NOT mine. VMPS LRC empty speaker enclosure w/grill in piano black for $145 shipped. I provided the LRC schematic on the forum, and all drivers are obtainable. Would be a fun and worthwhile project particulary for someone using VMPS for the L and R channels in their home theater setup and has the room as the LRC is big.
