#1 - Does the TVC take a high impedance input and lower it at the output?

#2 - Has anyone found the volume control to be an issue?

1.  Yes depending on the output level, I believe the last couple steps like -2db and 0 are actually a higher impedance.

2.  What do you mean by this?  I have a older 16 step TVC (-32db) that doesn't go low enough for my tastes, but the 24 step (-48db) is just fine.  I know Nic makes one that goes even lower to.
