I finally decided to look into some of the tubes you guys are bragging about and quickly realized I'm to damn broke for this hobby LOL 
I'm seriously considering the Create Audio 12AX7 I would like a silent tube and something thats warm... very warm

Got tubes, can trade for set of speaker wires.

The Grant Fidelity 12AU7-T is noticeably better than the stock JJ ECC 803S!

... Last last note - forgot to mention - the static sound when changing volume is gone too!  For that reason alone probably worth not using the JJs!

I have a Grant Fidelity Psvane 12AU7-T w/ about 60 hrs. logged in my M-451 Sensation w/ Dodd tube buffer.  Very nice! 

As an added bonus, I too can verify the rustling leaves sound is NOT present w/ this tube.

I still prefer the Sylvania Gold Brand 5751, but the Psvane is brand new (not NOS) & it sounds great.

I am still crazy over my Sylvania GB 5751. It sounds good that some of the newer companies are coming real close, NOS is not going to last forever. Not umless the Armed Forces has a huge stockpile hiding somewhere.
