Blu-Ray audio

Is Blu-ray audio different from regular dvd audio?  Several concert releases are available in both versions and although I have an Oppo BDP 105 I really don't much care about the video and regular dvd is fine unless the audio quality is inherently better in blu-ray

Bluray audio uses bluray codecs (like linear pcm, Dolby trueHD or DTS HD MA) and therefore can run both stereo and multichannel at a higher resolution than DVD, and equal to (but not proprietary and locked like) DVD-Audio.  Also, DVD-Audio is limited to stereo.  So bluray audio is all about 24/192 if available.  Its a good format not marketed well (sound familiar).
