Oh, one other HUUUUUUUUUGE advantage for plasma is it doesn't matter where you sit or how high or low you are. LCD's are VERY DIRECTIONAL and there is a tiny sweetspot for optimal viewing.
My previous tv, now sitting in the closet, was a very nice quality Samsung LCD, it was their upper midrange model 4 years ago, it was 32 inch, but expensive for its size because I wanted quality for use as a large computer monitor too. Anyway, that thing was very hard on the eyes if you weren't sitting dead in front of it.
LCD's are pretty much only good if you're looking at them dead on, if your laptop screen or computer monitor is an lcd you know what's up there.
