No more Jerome power supplies?
« on: 18 Feb 2012, 04:16 pm »
It appears that surplus house Herbach and Rademan has removed the listing for the Jerome Industries power supply that was so popular with Squeeze Box owners. With it's removal, there does not seem to be an inexpensive linear power supply on the market.

First the ELPAC WM-220 was discontinued and surplus supplies dried up. Now the Jerome.

If anyone comes across any surplus supplies that they think might work, please get in touch with me.

As it stands now, the least expensive supply is only able to be sourced from China. The next level up is the supply made by Dusty at Channel Island Audio, which is a very nice supply for the money. The supplies I make are still available, but they do take some time to build. Each one is made by hand and wired point to point. All the parts are "audiophile" grade.
