Some of our new metal parts
« on: 12 Apr 2015, 02:06 am »
You all have no idea how excited I am to have these parts finally completed!  It's been a 2 year struggle trying to find a reliable metal worker who can not only do what we need, but do it consistently and on time.  We have finally found one, and attached pictures show some of his work.

The black anodized plate is for the Joule speakers, RAAL 140-15D tweeter fits into the sawtooth rectangle and the bottom diameter circle flushes up against the midrange below.  No more rectangle and a circle of the two drivers, but instead an integrated, finished look.

The other two pictures are our outrigger feet pods that will be used on all the bigger speakers, Perfect Storm, Joule, and Nimbus.  They'll give a much more finished look, and really set off the flat sides of the Joule/PS bottom cabinets.  We also had two types of feet made, one in stainless steel (for carpet floors) and the other in delrin (for hardwood floors).  The delrin spikes will also provide more damping.

Another piece not pictured are our new custom binding post plates.  All this stuff, and more yet to come, will take fit and finish to an entirely new level.

As Nathan Explosion of Metalocalypse would say "That's so metal!"

Those are looking great. Can't wait to see them implemented into some full speaker shots.

Oh, I just noticed the Vapor name stamped at the base of the plate ...very classy. Congrats!

This was our first implementation of a custom plate.  We loved the result.

Thanks guys, these pieces and the many others coming really are a big deal for us.  So much time and expense has been put forth bringing these to fruition, it's a load off having it finally happen.  And now that we have someone who we can work with and count on, we can let our minds free coming up with other parts.  Every speaker in the line will incorporate our custom metal work in one way or another.

And at some point down the line, we have an idea for a tube amp chassis that will blow your mind!  It'll be a huge challenge, but I think we have a team that's up for it!

Gorgeous Ryan.

Still can't wait to finally move to the states and upgrade to a proper cirrus or whatever you might have then ;)

Hope all is well with you guys.
