My favorite band from the day and have seen them many times at San Francisco venues back in the day.  My daughter took me to see Jorma Kaukonen for my birthday before last.  He was solo and played only acoustically and sang tho I thought I recognized his lone purely instrumental tune from a live duo album he did with Casady in Berkeley, CA. which I believe was "Mann's Fate".  Terrific playing and feeling if it can be downloaded somehow.

Mine too. I saw them at Red Rocks and later in KC. Seeing them in SF must have been special. The album I posted is a 1989 reunion of Kantner, Balin, Slick, Cassidy and Jorma. Some good songs on the album.

The friends included Dave Mason and Jessie Ed Davis on guitars, Jim Price and Bobby Keys on horns and Rita Coolidge, back up vocals plus the Dominoes, as in Derek and The.

Killer version of You know and I know.

Hmm, time to dig out some Jesse Ed recordings.

As much as I find 45rpm recordings a PIA, this one is worth it. Much, much better than the original mono version.

I agree Doc, this is a really good reissue. I think the Dylan 45 rpm reissues are very good too.

Toni, nice trip down memory lane, thanks for the posting.  Your showing all of the Dead albums got me looking back into my collection, turns out I have a Promo "white label" copy of Terrapin Station, who know. I will drag it out and play it, and compare it to the Hi rez download and see what the difference is--thanks for the listings.

BTW, I am reading David Gans' book, This is all a dream we dreamed: An Oral history of the Grateful Dead, very good explanations, many by the band members themselves, about how they developed the astonishing synchronicity they were able to display onstage.
