Strange ( but great) happenings in Peterborough

If you had two joining rooms and wanted to go wireless in both would you have one transmitter feeding both pairs? Or if you used two  would there be latency issues?

HI

Normally you would use two transmitters for this, and they will be in sync no problem.

It is possible to use one transmitter but then you do not have individual control over each pair.

Will there be a separate or updated brochure for the 48" sound bar? I don't see any reference to it in this brochure.

MEMO: To All Bryston Customers,
SUBJECT: Bryston Wireless Product Update – July 2019.

Hi Folks,

Just an update on our Wireless Products.

The new Bryston ‘wireless’ (BB-1) SoundBar and Matching Subwoofer will be available in mid August 2019.  Black Mat Finish ONLY.

The included Bryston 125 Watt Wireless Sub couldn’t be easier to set up – the Soundbar wirelessly transmits bass information to it so all you have to do is find a convenient spot for the subwoofer anywhere in the room and plug it into an AC outlet – no bulky, expensive subwoofer cables to run (and hide).

That means you’ll get full-range deep bass with minimal effort and no rewiring. It also includes a removable grille.

You need to be careful when installing wireless devices. A friend of mine tried to put something like that in his room, but there were other sounds and interference all the time. It wasn't until he figured out that the strong interference was from the neighbours. Eventually, he couldn't negotiate with the neighbours, so he had to sell all the equipment.

Hi Folks,

I have been experimenting with our wireless systems this week.

This setup is of the wireless A2's (ignore the Middle TREX in behind)

Anyway this is the room measurement currently at the listening position.

This is the APP for the setup.

So currently I am using a Bryston Pi transmitter (see black box on top) but thinking maybe a high quality streaming wireless preamp might be an idea worth perusing?

Just a tad pissed with a NEW(two day old) bryfi-2.
Day one was pretty good except every time your iPhone goes to sleep and then you go to bryfi app, keeps searching and searching even though it’s connected to my Wi-Fi.
You have to delete the app and down load again to even Try to operate.
And that’s with the bryfi lights SOLID GREEN

Today:FK Jesus H FK it played some tracks and then stops and that’s with 200+ tracks.
And the lights are SOLID GREEN and it says track is playing.
Also cannot adjust the volume it stays at one spot, first day I could adjust volume no problem, today even though you slide the volume up or down FALL happens.
1600 for BS
My friggin Home Computer has run Flawless for Years Helloooo
I will contact Bryston and if this cannot be fixed I will be asking for refund.
It should be FKN straight forward to operate,YA Think.
Audio is great
The app SUCKS
Times like this ANALOG is 1000% better than this BS.
My arcam  av-8 is 2005 and not a problem,
Why does my bdp2 freeze up at least once a month and have to unplug and restart.
Why do digital if you CANT get it right,
Yes IM PISSED.

HI

Sorry you are having issues Don.  Not sure whats up?  We have sold hundreds of these and there must be an issue with the network.

Give Adam Tanner a call at Bryston and he may be able to help.

Thanks James, just frustrating as ol hell.
I apologize for being pissed(still pissed)
Gary Dayton got me going for a few days
Today same thing as before, there’s only so many days left for the deck.
I will call Adam,course it’s friday,I’ll try Gary tomorrow,he might answer.

MY Q : who created that bryfi app,you touch on the icons and zero most of the time.
Even though the Wi-Fi is the same and says playing tracks, olume up ect ect.
My bop-2 is Always instant as I have excellent Wi-Fi on the deck
The Bryfi should be MANIC MOOSE.always Showtime.
I will call both And see what F is going on.
AUDIO  IS SUPERB and I Do not miss my Vac or 28s
The Bryfi audio is to my ears Excellent.

Hi

Are you using the volume control on the top of the unit or the one in the app?

App
A lot of times that doesn’t work
Even when you touch the gear icon, the screen goes blank amongst other icons on screen.
Sometimes they do and a lot do nothing but go blank.
Will try Gary later today,if not Adam on Tues.

Hi James,

I have model A2 and SP2, 4bST. I m very happy, it is magic.

My question is, there is same improvement with A2 wireless about sound quality? I will not decrease quality my dream setup ?

Hi Lilian

Typically wireless is about application rather than ultimate sound quality.  We felt that wireless speakers currently on the market were more about convenience and décor than sound quality so we wanted to offer our customers a quality sonically superior audio system that did not compromise performance.

It seems to be well received as we are finding the growth in wireless is accelerating. That being said keeping the amplifier and amp separate gives you much more flexibility when assembling a state of the art system.

HI folks,

Investigating audio improvements to my study, I am in the market for some active wireless speakers, obviously high quality, so not the run of the mill pc speakers kind of speakers. Was checking out the Mini A wireless but am afraid I cant find much info on those here in the Netherlands, let alone a price....

Wat I do see all over is the new Kef LS 50 wireless II, which seems to fit all the bills we need: great speakers, adequate amplification and all the connectivity we need (forget about the usb. connection which apparently is not up to the latest date). Still playing may ancient Kef 102's in the Gym, I can relate to another set of little Kef boxes ;-)

In comparison with the Bryston set, would anyone here be able to give me a hint on the biggest differences? I do like the fact we can simply connect the HDmi from the TV set to have it play over the Kef's, but maybe the Bryston can do that too? Its' just plug and play and forget about them on all other inputs.

What about the Bryston Active mini 2 wireless, are they was versatile?

Thanks if anyone could shed some light on the matter.
