Title: 8 inch servo subs
Post by: Uzeb on 28 Sep 2013, 04:33 pm
Question for Danny, Can they be use with the Hypex HX800XLR3 amps and if so could one amp possibly power 6 subs or would to be better to bridge them.

It would "work" with them and have all the servo control as designed. But that is 400 watts per each set of three woofers. That is more power than they can handle with the extension filters set low. It could easily bottom out the drivers and cause damage to them.

The 300 watt amps being built for the new 8" woofers have higher filter selections that keep them from having to play too low real hard. So it will drive them to their maximum exertion levels without over driving them.
