ModWright KWA150 Amp with SE Upgrades. $3000 shipped. Firm.

This amp started it's life out as the standard KWA150. In November of 2016 the amp was sent back to Dan and upgraded with the following SE upgrades, this was confirmed today with Kristen and Dan at Modwright: 

1) Input stage PCBs upgraded to new design for lower noise/distortion.

2) Input stage Lundahl transformer upgraded to larger core design for greater dynamics.

3) DC & Operating Bias adjusted to current specifications.

I have owned this amp since 2018. It is an excellent excellent amplifier. Only selling cause I'm downsizing.

The original/previous-owner decided to forgo getting the new "Signature Edition" faceplate at an additional cost since it was the same but with the added copy that says "Signature Edition" below KWA-150 as he, and I as well, prefer the cleaner faceplate with less type. 

This amp is in perfect working condition and comes from a smoke free, pet free, kid free home. It sounds wonderful. There is one tiny nick on the top cover. Pictured.

Original box and packing and manual are included. PP F&F preferred.

Tube inputs? I just had to go double check the Modwright site. I don't know anything about tube inputs in the KWA150SE. The SE uses Lundahl Input Transformers... that is the big thing. It's a fully SS amp. I used the LS36.5 Tube line stage with it. Here's a pic of the inside of mine. The newest ones have some running changes... but for all intents and purposes this is a KWA-150SE sans the faceplate saying so. It's a beautiful amp that makes beautiful music.

Somebody buy this poor guy's amp. This is a bleeding steal!  I'm running an essentially new AR tube integrated that sounds amazing and have absolutely no room for separates and still I'm tempted. With free shipping to boot, when it weighs a ton. If you can fit it in your room, how could you go wrong here?
