Enjoy, especially if you can't afford a $10,000+ power amp.

Congratulations Frank on the SET 400 review. The SET 400 I had in my system for 2 months performed just like the TONE reviewer experienced, neutral, great control over woofers, beautiful vocals and string tone, never sounding strained, expansive soundstage, nothing to complain about. Thanks Frank for building gear that performs at top-shelf levels but is affordable!

Congrats Frank! Their review mirrors mine.

That is one heck of a glowing review and compliment. That it only falls minutely short of an amp that is more than my car at $19,500! Well that sounds like a ridiculous value!!!! Frank, I don't know how you do it but keep doing it! Depending on how my new DAC Stereo Maraschino does with my Maggie's, I might be ordering the SET 400 in the near future. :D

I’ve had my Vision Set 400 for awhile now. It was terrific before but I now run it with my new AVA FET Valve CFR preamp. I’ve only had my preamp a couple of weeks but the combination does a beautiful job. This set up is a substantial investment for me but there is a synergy and competency here that I think is unbeatable. The phono preamp is also very nice with my Denon 103R. Kudos to Frank and his team.

Yes, Franks gear has great synergy.

I'd be impressed if I didn't already own an amp that sounds just as good and cost half as much.

Hey Birdbrain, what new amplifier that your own makes over 200W/Ch, costs less than $1000, and sounds just as good as a Vision SET 400?
Have you actually ever heard a Vision SET 400 amplifier?
Just wondering.

Frank, I think he's referring to your SET 120 power amp which he seems to own and be very pleased with.

Yep.
I was looking for an amp to pair with the 93db, 12ohm Spatial Audio M3 Triode Master open baffle speakers. I looked at all sorts of Class A, A/B, and D amps. I looked at tube and solid state amps. I remembered the sweet sound I got from an AVA Delta 120 amp years and years ago. I wanted to hear the Van Alstine sound of today. The SET 120 and the Spatials are a tremendous pairing. I listen to favorite old record after favorite old record, and they are all sounding like I've dreamed of having them sound all my life. It's a beautiful thing.
He also raves about his T10 SLR.

Whoops, sorry Birdbrain!
I don't usually track client's real names with screen names here so missed your connection with a SET 120 amplifier.
Within its power rating, you are absolutely correct!
Thanks all for your kind comments.

Frank, I should have made clear I was referring to the Vision SET 120. It's a great match with the Spatial Audio M3 Triode Master speakers. Sorry for raising your blood pressure. :duh:
