Technical audio double-speak

Hey, let's have a thread to have a look at technical audio double-speak. The rules of the thread: 1. Quote the double-speak and give the URL; 2. you have to explain *why* (in technically accurate terms) it's doublespeak.

I'll start

The Roc 12 is the only subwoofer to deliver mass and speed simultaneously. Using dual 12" sub drivers The Roc12 delivers the moving mass of a 24" subwoofer faster than a 4' midrange driver.

Explanation. Well... ummm... I actually don't even understand what it is they think they are saying. The mass of a woofer cone is not directly related to its area, for one thing; for another, a 24" woofer has FOUR times the area of a 12" cone, not double.

Why is the mass of the driver (cone?) important? No reason, actually, except that more mass tends to be needed for drivers with a lower Fs or for sealed box woofers (which this isn't).

Um... faster than a 4" midrange driver, I have no idea.... they surely aren't referring to the frequency response.

OK, who's next?
