Titan vs. Titan II LE??
« on: 5 Feb 2008, 04:55 pm »
I bought a new Titan from ACI back in '05/'06. I would like to add a second one to my system but cannot afford a new one. I found a used Titan II LE for sale. I don't recall mine being called "II LE". Are they the same model?

Does your sub have hardwood top and legs over an MDF main box?

You're welcome, and remember that a first owner may transfer the warranty to a second owner if the sub is less than 5 years old.

TomS - Two questions please ...
1. Is adding a second Titan well worth the benefit?
2. My favorite February toboggan State Park is near you (Pokagon) - ever go?

1. I suppose that depends on the size of your room, listening levels, music taste, etc.  Once you try dual subs, at least for 2 channel, it's hard to imagine not having them.  It's hard to describe the effect, but it's something like being better "filled in".  Maybe it's psychological but it just feels better somehow, with a bit more impact.

2. Oh yeah, we're regulars at Pokagon.  We have a lake cottage about 10 miles from there and the kids love to go rippin' down it.  They're more inclined to strap on snowboards these days, but it doesn't really have to be snowy or cold to do the toboggan run :)
