FS: GR Research A/V3, A/V3S, A/V1RS set

I have a complete GR Research set, featuring two A/V3 towers, 1 A/V3S center channel, and two upward firing A/V1RS surrounds. They are currently located in Brooklyn, NY (11211).

The original owner was an audio fanatic and recently passed away. I have been using these since this summer and love them -- only reason I'm considering letting them go is to upgrade to an N3 set.

The set was built recently. It has the Sonicap upgrades that come with the A/V kits. The underlying MDF construction is excellent. They are lined with acoustic foam (not no-rez, but similar). The finish is pretty nice on the towers, less so on the surrounds and center. The whole set could also be stripped and veneered for a dynamite look.

Asking $700 for the whole set.

I prefer local pickup, due to the size of the towers. People have asked about breaking the set up. If I do, it will make the towers a lot harder to move, as they are large. So the pricing would have to be disproportionate. The A/V1RS surrounds would be $250 (plus shipping). The A/V3S center would be $200 (plus shipping). 

These really do sound amazing. Considering the foam and cap upgrades, the parts alone would cost more than the asking price. A bargain for someone out there!

Ok thanks for the interest. I'm going to give priority to someone who wants the whole set. Or if someone takes the towers only that would free up the other two pieces.

Hi,

I can take the towers (AV3) if you are willing to split these.
However, I am in Chicago so if you are open at all to shipping these (I can pitch in on the cost), I would be very interested.

I took these off the market in the summer to enjoy them a little longer. They are really great.

However, looking to free up some space -- so they are back on the market!

Lots of interest in the A/V1RS speakers. If I can get a taker for the mains I'll break up the set.
