Bdp-Pi not booting
« on: 1 Jan 2020, 09:13 pm »
My bdp-pi was left on for a few months idling. Today I could not connect to the web interface and noticed that the power led in front is red and not green. So I turned the unit off and after a minute back on. The unit doesn’t seem to start up at all, no info on the front display and the status light is red.  I turned it off again and disconnected everything and waited a few minutes and then connected power and tuned it on again. Nothing, just red light.  Any help from Bryston or the community is greatly appreciated..

If a fuse blows, doesn't that indicate a deeper problem?

Hi

Not necessarily - fuses can weaken over time.

Red light on the front that won't go away usually means the sd card that contains the firmware.  Either the card itself has failed or the filesystem on it has failed (software issue).  You can try reimaging the card your self or email us for further instruction.

Chris,
Just got a new SD card and did a re-image with Etcher...no joy.. the green LED on the Pi module flashes a couple of times and that's it...
