Very cool, Vipers. You spent your money wisely. Speaking of money, I wish I had the kind of money some of you guys have!

Yeah, just a few extra bucks between you and a BP26/MPS-2, a pair of 28BSST2 and a pair of Everest II!

The electronics is the "easy" part at ~ $22K.  The speakers at ~ $60K - $80K ...........

I would imagine that would be a big dynamic sound that could easily fill a room.  Or two.  Or three.

True, but I don't even have $2K to spare, let alone $22K.

Oh of course, I have no doubts.

Viper,I picked up a JVC DLA HD-250 projector, reviews were spot on.Superb picture, better than any tv in the house.
I'm sure those JVC 3-D projectors must look vey nice and pricey.
The DLA 250 comes in at 2995 US,I also got her for the same only in Can.dineros.
I like  those speakers, actually your whole system :thumb:.

Vegasdave,

At the end of the day, it is how we put our goals into perspective…

The purchase price of a pair of shinny new 28B SST² amplifiers are nothing more than coffee money. How do we arrive at this? Roughly speaking, a pair of 28B SST² amplifiers are around  $17,000.00. If you would abstain from purchasing a couple of cups of coffee per day @ $3.05, you could pay for your amplifiers in approximately 5573.7 days or 15.3 years and still have 4.7 years remaining on the warranty.

Give up donuts and you will have a nice new BP 26 on the shelf also.

Please remember that these figures are extremely rough as both of my calculators have died from a most horrible death and a new calculator is on my Christmas wish list - do not worry about interest rates as goverments are printing truckloads of money "for the people" at this time.

Feeling motivated? Can you go without coffee and donuts now?

Be well…

Congrats on the new MB2i!  It was so huge, it made the EB1i looked like a PB1/Ob1.   :thumb:

15 years? By that time, Bryston will have introduced a whole new line of amps!

Just out of interest and costs is their a great difference running these speakers with a 14bsst2. As i am informed that they are the the same as 7bsst2 in one box. if this is correct think of the amount of electricity you save when left on stanby and also the initial cost

The 14B sound just as good.  But the 7B gives you the flexibility of running shorter speaker cables = better sound.  If you can afford one of these amps, electricity bill should be the least in your concern.  They are not class A biased.  I am speaking for my 7B which is more efficient compared to my tube amps or to previous amps I had before that are biased to class A rating.

There are people who prefer not to consume extra energy, even if they can afford it.

If the Bryston manuals are correct, both the 7BSST and 14BSST each consume 215W at idle.  Therefore it would seem that 1 X 14BSST would consume 215W and 2 X 7BSST would consume 430W per hour at idle.

I agree with you 100%.

In addition to that notion, don't buy a performance gas V8 engined car if you are concerned about gas mileage or the associated maintenance cost that comes with owning one.  Period!

I'm very happy with my 4BSST. But, I would love a 14BSST2 or 7BSST2! Either one would be just fantastic!

How big are the woofers on the MB2i?
