UL or CSA Approval?
« on: 18 Nov 2005, 04:15 am »
Dusty,

Have any of the CI Audio products received UL or CSA approval? If not, is that being sought?

The reason I ask is because I just purchased the APC H15 Power Conditioner, which also provides a protection guarantee for connected equipment--provided that all connected equipment is UL or CSA approved. Currently, I have the D•100, VPC•1, and VPP•1 products, so lack of approval of any one of these units invalidates the APC replacement guarantee.

All our products are built to exceed UL and all other international safety standards, but are not submitted to UL for approval (it's not a requirement). Being that our products are shipped worldwide, they carry the CE mark, insuring that they meet Europe's more stringent requirements.

UL primarily deals with safety (high voltage) and all of our transformers and AC adapters carry the UL approval.

Where is this mark? I don't see it on any of my units (back plate, bottom)?

CE logo is on the box, not on the product itself.
This is done for easy identification when going through customs, etc.
